League Scoring:
The points system we use is to award 100 points for each player that enters the tournament. In a 20 player tournament, 1st place gets 2000 points, 2nd place gets 1900, 3rd place gets 1800... All the way down to last place who gets 100 points.
Players who finish in the top three places each week also receive additional bonus points:
1st = 500 extra points 2nd = 300 extra points 3rd = 100 extra points
The person with the most points come the end of the league season will be the overall League Champion.
The final top three players in the league will be paid into the World Series of Fife Poker (WSOFP) Main Event held at the end of each league season.
Prizes:
Each and every night the Prize Pool can be up to £100 in accordance with the "Advice on gaming in clubs and alcohol licensed premises: Gambling Act 2005".
As a result, a maximum of 20 players will be permitted to take part in any one league game each night (20 x £5 = £100). The Prize Pool is then proportionally split between the top place finishers and paid out on the same evening. Should there be a higher number of players in any one evening, the cost of entry will be reduced to ensure the pot does not exceed £100. Points are awarded to all participating players as described previously.
.
World Series of Fife Poker (WSoFP):
The top 27 overall finishers from the current league season will all be eligible to play in the World Series of Fife Poker Main Event. Each player initially starts with 8000 chips and receives an additional chip for every point they have accumulated during the league season. ‘Poker Addict Bonus Points' are also awarded based on the number of weeks you attend:
Play 1 to 4 weeks: 0 bonus points
Play 5 to 8 weeks: 500 bonus points
Play 9 to 11 weeks: 1000 bonus points
e.g. If Player A finished on 6000 points and had played 10 league games that season then their WSOFP Starting Stack would be 15000 chips (8000 + 6000 + 1000).
Note: Poker Addict Bonus Points do not contribute towards league positions.
A player must attend at least 3 league games to qualify to play in the WSoFP
